Microsoft Confirms Windows Server 2016 Reaches End of Support on January 12, 2027

Microsoft has confirmed that Windows Server 2016 will reach the end of extended support on January 12, 2027, according to a new message on the Windows release health message center. The January 2027 security update will be the final update for the operating system, and Microsoft recommends that organizations upgrade to Windows Server 2025 before that date. The end of updates covers every edition of Windows Server 2016: Datacenter, Essentials, MultiPoint Premium, and Standard.
