OpenAI Launches GPT-6.1 Terra With API Pricing 50% Lower Than GPT-5.6 Terra

OpenAI has released GPT-6.1 Terra, a faster and cheaper model built for computer use, visual reasoning, coding, and everyday office work, the company announced in a blog post on October 26. The model is available now to Plus, Pro, Enterprise, and Edu subscribers in ChatGPT Work and Codex, and developers can call it through the API as gpt-6.1-terra. OpenAI positions Terra as the replacement for GPT-5.6 Terra and says standard API prices are 50% lower than both GPT-5.6 Terra and GPT-6.1 Sol.
